October brings the Nantucket Arts Festival from Friday the 4th through Sunday the 13th. Featured activities include gallery exhibits, lectures at the Nantucket Atheneum, performances by the Theatre Workshop, a movie series about famous artists at the Dreamland Theater, a community outdoor art installation by NISDA and an Artisan Talk Show Series by the Nantucket Arts Council.
Also this October is the 11th annual Cranberry Festival at the Milestone cranberry bog on Saturday October 12th from 11am – 4pm. Go out to the festival grounds and see the berries being harvested, learn about farming cranberries on Nantucket, and enjoy the music and scenery amongst the bogs and spectacular conservation foundation property.
